Errand runner work
Get paid to run errands for people nearby
If you know your area, keep a good list, and like crossing things off, running errands for other people can be flexible local work. On Momsity, Members post errands like returns, package drop-offs, and pickups, and MOMs nearby choose which ones to offer on.
You set your own availability. Offer only on errands that fit your day and your route.
What is a MOM?
MOMs are people who get things done. Done right. Done safely.
MOMs aren't just mothers. At Momsity, MOM is our name for the people who take on everyday Tasks for Members nearby. MOMs may be mothers, fathers, retirees, students, neighbors, or professionals. What they have in common is that they get things done.
Common errands on Momsity
- Returns and exchanges
- Post office and shipping-store drop-offs
- Order and dry-cleaning pickups
- Waiting at a home for a delivery or repair visit
- Donation drop-offs
- Care package delivery
What helps you do well
- Reliable transportation for errands that need a car
- Clear communication. Keep updates in Task messages so the Member knows where things stand.
- Reading the Task fully before you offer: stops, timing, anything heavy
- Showing up when you said you would. Reliability shows up on your record.
The honest version
Errand volume depends on what Members near you post, and Momsity is still building coverage area by area. We don't publish average earnings or promise a number of Tasks. Each Task shows its payout before you offer.
If nothing is posted near you today, that's okay. Set up your MOM profile now so you're notified when an errand that fits is posted.
You're an independent contractor. Mileage, gas, and taxes are your responsibility, so factor them in when you decide which errands to take.
How it works for MOMs
Step 1
Create your MOM profile
Join as an individual MOM or a MOM Business. Add your area, the services you want to offer, and a short bio. You must be 18 or older.
Step 2
Finish setup
Accept the Mom Agreement and set up payouts through Stripe. Some services, such as rides, moving, car help, and house sitting, need Momsity approval before you can offer them.
Step 3
Find Tasks near you
Browse Tasks Near You. When a Member posts a Task that fits your services and area, you may also be notified.
Step 4
Offer on what fits
Offer only when the timing, distance, and work suit you. You are never required to take a Task.
Step 5
Complete the Task
After a Member chooses you and pays, accept the Task, get the details, do the work, and mark it complete.
Step 6
Get paid through Stripe
Your payout is released after the Member confirms, or automatically 72 hours after you mark the Task complete if no review is opened.
Common questions
- Do I need a car?
- Not for every errand, but many do. Read each Task and offer only on the ones you can complete.
- Can I also drive people places?
- Rides need separate Momsity approval and are only available where permitted. Everyday errands don't.
- When do I get paid for an errand?
- After the Member confirms it's done, or automatically 72 hours after you mark it complete if no review is opened. Payouts go through Stripe.
