Momsity

For college families

Away at college? A local MOM can help.

When your student is hundreds of miles away, everyday problems don’t disappear. Momsity can connect families with local MOMs for supported needs such as laundry, errands, move-in and move-out, care packages, package pickups and returns, and other supported student needs.

For parents and family

You don’t have to live nearby to show up. Post a Task for the student you care about. A local MOM can handle the errand while you stay in the loop on Momsity.

For students

Need something handled this week? Post your own Task, or ask a parent to post one for you. Keep messages and payment on Momsity.

Campus is context, not a wall

You can name a campus when it helps MOMs understand the area. You can also post without one. Coverage follows real MOMs in the marketplace — we do not invent empty campus directories.

Stay on the Task

Exact addresses stay protected until a MOM is authorized. Pay through Momsity. Message on the Task. That keeps history, payment, and support together.

Example Tasks

  • Laundry drop-off

A MOM picks up laundry near campus and returns it clean.

  • Dorm room reset before midterms

A tidy-up and laundry catch-up when class load gets in the way.

  • Care package handoff

Buy and deliver a package when you can’t ship it yourself.

  • Move-in / move-out help

Extra hands for boxes, supplies, or a quick apartment reset.

  • Errands between classes

Pharmacy, print shop, or campus-area errands with clear timing.

  • Check-in style Tasks

Practical help only — not medical care, crisis response, or emergency services.

How college help works on Momsity

Parents stay in the loop

Post the Task, pay on Momsity, and follow status without needing to be on campus that day.

Students can post too

A student can post their own Task or ask family to post. Same marketplace either way.

Campus labels are optional

Name a campus when it helps. Or post with city and ZIP only. We do not invent empty campus directories.

Same rules as everywhere

Prohibited Tasks, Safety, and Community Rules still apply. College does not create special exceptions for unsafe work.

Common questions

Is Momsity only for college?
No. College families are one of our most important use cases, but everyday local help, help from afar, and new-parent Tasks use the same marketplace.
Do I need a Campus Guide?
No. Campus Guides are optional and invite-only. Most people should Become a MOM or post as a Member.
What about dorm access?
Write clear access notes. Exact addresses stay protected until a MOM is authorized. Follow campus rules and building policies.

See college laundry help and move-in and move-out help, or read what to do when a college student needs help and the college move-out checklist. Campus pages appear only when Momsity has real published coverage. Until then, post a Task with the city or ZIP that matters.
