- On Momsity, MOMs are people nearby who get things done. You don't have to be a mother to be one; MOMs are 18 or older and choose the services they offer and how far they'll travel.
- How do I get help with a Task?
- Post a Task with what you need, where, and when. MOMs nearby who offer that service can see it and send an offer. You choose the MOM, pay through Momsity checkout, and confirm when the Task is done.
- What if what I need isn't listed?
- Post it as a custom Task and describe it in your own words. MOMs nearby can choose whether to take it. Not every request will be accepted, and Tasks outside Momsity's safety limits will be declined.
- Are MOMs licensed, insured, or background-checked?
- Not necessarily. Momsity doesn't claim that every MOM is licensed, insured, or background-checked. Driving your car, moving help, house sitting, pressure washing, window washing, junk haul, and light handyman work are offered only by MOMs Momsity has approved for those services. Businesses and professionals also need liability insurance on file for those higher-risk services. Read a MOM's profile before you accept an offer.
- What kinds of work aren't offered?
- Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and gas work; construction and other licensed trades; medical, nursing, personal care, or medication help; childcare and babysitting; groceries; and anything involving weapons or hazardous materials. Hire a licensed professional for that work.
- How does payment work?
- You see the total before you pay at Momsity checkout. Payment is held until the Task is confirmed — by you, or automatically by Momsity 72 hours after the MOM marks it complete if you don't open a review and no other issue is open.
