Help around the house, from MOMs nearby
Some weeks the house wins. Momsity lets you post the household Tasks you can't get to, like laundry, a deep clean, a closet that needs sorting, or a bookshelf still in the box, and MOMs nearby can offer to do them.
Post one Task at a time, choose the MOM you want, and pay through Momsity. Nobody comes to your home until you've chosen a MOM and they've been authorized for that Task.
Household Tasks MOMs can take
- Laundry: wash, dry, fold, and put away, at your place or picked up and returned
- Cleaning: kitchens, bathrooms, apartments, and move-out resets
- Organizing closets, pantries, garages, and kids' rooms, plus donation drop-offs
- Assembling flat-pack furniture, shelves, desks, and bed frames
- Meal prep in your kitchen for a busy week
- Raking, weeding, light yard cleanup, and shoveling walks and steps
- Waiting at home for a delivery or repair visit
- House sitting while you're away (MOMs approved for house sitting)
What's outside the scope
MOMs on Momsity aren't licensed contractors. Electrical, plumbing, roofing, and gas work aren't allowed, and neither is any other work that needs a licensed trade or credentials the MOM doesn't have. For those, hire a licensed professional.
Childcare and babysitting aren't offered on Momsity.
Before a MOM comes to your home
- Describe the job honestly, including pets, stairs, or anything heavy.
- Put away valuables and anything you don't want handled.
- Agree on the scope in Task messages before the visit.
- Keep your own homeowner's or renter's insurance. Momsity doesn't insure homes or belongings.
How it works
Step 1
Post a Task
Choose the service, the ZIP where help is needed, and when it should happen, then describe the details. The exact address stays private until a MOM is authorized for that Task.
Step 2
Nearby MOMs offer
MOMs whose services and area fit can be notified and can offer on your Task. Not every area has a MOM available yet, so timing and coverage depend on who is nearby.
Step 3
Choose and pay on Momsity
Compare who offered, choose your MOM, and pay through Momsity checkout. You see the total before you pay.
Step 4
Coordinate in Task messages
Your MOM accepts and gets the details they need. Messages stay on the Task so the history and support stay together.
Step 5
Confirm when it is done
Your MOM marks the Task complete and you confirm. Payment is held until you confirm, or released automatically 72 hours after completion if you don't open a review.
Common questions
- Are MOMs background-checked?
- Not unless a MOM's profile specifically says so. Momsity doesn't run criminal background checks on every MOM. Review profiles, ratings from real completed Tasks, and messages, and choose the MOM you're comfortable with.
- Can I book the same MOM again?
- Each Task is posted and paid separately. If you liked working with a MOM, mention it in your next Task; they can offer again if they're available.
- Do I have to be home?
- That's between you and the MOM you choose. Many household Tasks happen while you're home. If you won't be, agree on access in Task messages and only share what's needed.
