Businesses and professionals

Offer your services on Momsity as a business or licensed professional

Momsity is a local marketplace for everyday Tasks. Individuals, businesses, and licensed or certified professionals join the same way, take the same supported services, and are matched to Tasks inside their service area. Businesses and credentials are reviewed by people at Momsity before they count.

Who can join

  • Individual MOMs

Take Tasks on your own. Most services open as soon as your profile is complete.

  • Businesses and service companies

Sole proprietors, LLCs, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits. The business stays paused until Momsity verifies its details.

  • Licensed or certified professionals

Add the licenses or certifications you hold. Each one is reviewed before it appears or counts toward a service.

Every MOM offers only the services listed on Momsity's services page, and follows the Mom Agreement and Prohibited Tasks list.

Three separate checks

Business identity, licenses, and insurance are reviewed separately. Passing one doesn't imply the others.

  • Business identity

Momsity reviews the business's legal name, type, state of registration, and authorized representative. When approved, the profile can say "Business identity verified." That doesn't cover licenses, insurance, or the quality of the work.

  • Licenses and certifications

A license or certification counts only after a Momsity team member reviews the document, and the issuer's public lookup where one exists. The profile names the credential, where it's from, and the service it applies to.

  • Insurance

Momsity can confirm it reviewed an insurance document and its dates. It doesn't promise that a policy covers any particular Task, and it never shows a MOM as "insured" without that review.

Services with extra requirements

These services need Momsity's approval for each MOM, plus any documents listed. Other supported services need no documents.

  • Rides

Required: Your own driver's license; Auto insurance (yours or the business's). Momsity approval required.

  • Car Help

Required: Your own driver's license. Optional: Auto insurance. Momsity approval required.

  • Moving

No documents required. Optional: General liability insurance. Momsity approval required.

  • House Sitting

No documents required. Momsity approval required.

These are Momsity's own requirements. They aren't legal advice. Check the rules that apply to your business where you work.

Questions businesses and professionals ask

Can a business join Momsity?

Yes. Cleaning companies, laundry services, errand and moving businesses, and other businesses offering supported services can join as a MOM Business. You add the business's legal name, type, state of registration, and an authorized representative. Momsity reviews those details before the business can take Tasks.

Can a licensed or certified professional offer services?

Yes. Licensed or certified professionals can join and offer the services Momsity supports. You can add a license or certification, and Momsity reviews it before it appears on your profile or counts toward any service. Momsity only offers the services listed on the site; a license doesn't add new kinds of work.

Which documents are required?

It depends on the service. Rides need your own driver's license and auto insurance. Car Help needs your own driver's license. Rides, Moving, Car Help, and House Sitting also need Momsity's approval for each MOM. Most other services need no documents. A business can also add a registration record or insurance policy.

Does submitting a document approve me automatically?

No. Uploading a document or typing a license number doesn't verify anything. A Momsity team member reviews each item and records the decision. Nothing is approved automatically, and software never makes the final decision.

How is verification shown?

Badges name exactly what Momsity checked. For example, "Business identity verified" means Momsity reviewed the business's registration details, not its insurance or licenses. For insurance, Momsity shows that it reviewed the document, never that coverage is guaranteed. Momsity doesn't claim background checks it hasn't run.

What happens when a credential expires?

On its expiry date it stops counting. Only the services that need that credential pause, and everything else keeps working. Upload a renewed document from your Verification page, and the service reopens after Momsity reviews it.
