Moving help from MOMs approved for moving

Moving Tasks are offered by MOMs Momsity has approved for moving help. They can help with loading and unloading, carrying boxes, and getting a dorm or apartment set up.

Only MOMs approved by Momsity for moving can offer on these Tasks, so availability may be more limited.

Pick one to start your Task with it filled in, or describe your own.

Find it under Home & Household, Student & College, Moving & Organization.

What moving help covers

A moving Task is hands-on help with carrying, loading, and unloading: boxes down three flights of stairs, a rental truck that needs loading, or a dorm move-in. Only MOMs Momsity has approved for moving help can offer.

MOMs aren't a licensed moving company and don't bring a truck by default. Many moves go better as a few smaller Tasks, like moving help, a move-out clean, and furniture assembly, than as one big one.

Who uses it

  • Anything fragile or very heavy

What to expect

  • Confirm once the work is done, or open a review if something went wrong.

Helpful guides

Trust and payment

MOMs are independent, so read profiles and reviews from real completed Tasks before you choose. Your exact address stays private until you authorize a MOM, messages stay on the Task, and payment is held until you confirm the work is done. Momsity doesn't guarantee that every Task will get an offer, or that a MOM is available in every area. How trust works

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Post a Task

Choose the service, the ZIP where help is needed, and when it should happen, then describe the details. The exact address stays private until a MOM is authorized for that Task.

  2. Step 2

    Nearby MOMs offer

MOMs whose services and area fit can be notified and can offer on your Task. Not every area has a MOM available yet, so timing and coverage depend on who is nearby.

  3. Step 3

    Choose and pay on Momsity

Compare who offered, choose your MOM, and pay through Momsity checkout. You see the total before you pay.

  4. Step 4

    Coordinate in Task messages

Your MOM accepts and gets the details they need. Messages stay on the Task so the history and support stay together.

  5. Step 5

    Confirm when it is done

Your MOM marks the Task complete and you confirm. Payment is held until the Task is confirmed. If you don't confirm or open a review, Momsity may confirm it automatically 72 hours after completion when no other issue is open.

Common questions

Does the MOM bring a truck?
Not by default. Say in the Task what you need moved and whether you have a vehicle, so MOMs can decide whether they can help.
How does payment work?
You see the total before you pay at Momsity checkout. Payment is held until the Task is confirmed — by you, or automatically by Momsity 72 hours after the MOM marks it complete if you don't open a review and no other issue is open.
