Snow Shoveling & Salting
Snow shoveling and salting
After a storm, the walk and steps need clearing before anyone slips. Post a snow Task with the paths that matter most and how soon you need them done, and MOMs nearby can offer.

What snow shoveling & salting help covers
A snow Task is clearing the paths people actually use: front walks, steps, short driveways, the route to the mailbox or trash cans, and brushing off a car. Salting icy steps and sidewalks is part of it too.
Timing matters more than anything else with snow. Say how soon after the storm you need it cleared and which paths come first, so a MOM can plan the morning around it. This is hand-shovel work; plowing and roof clearing aren't part of it.
Who uses it
- Older adults who shouldn't be shoveling or walking on ice
- Adult children making sure a parent's walk is safe after a storm
- Commuters who need the driveway clear before work
- Small landlords keeping shared walks passable

What to include in your Task
- Which walks, steps, and how much of the driveway
- How soon after the snow stops it needs to be done
- Whether shovels and salt are at the house, and where
- Where snow can be piled, and areas to keep clear of it
- Whether you'd like the same MOM after each storm this winter
What to expect
- MOMs nearby who offer snow help can see the Task and send offers. You choose who helps.
- Storms shift schedules; agree on a window rather than an exact time.
- Ask for a photo of the cleared walk in Task messages, especially for a parent's home.
- Confirm when it's done, or open a review if a path was missed.
Helpful guides
Trust and payment
MOMs are independent, so read profiles and reviews from real completed Tasks before you choose. Your exact address stays private until you authorize a MOM, messages stay on the Task, and payment is held until you confirm the work is done. Momsity doesn't guarantee that every Task will get an offer, or that a MOM is available in every area. How trust works

How it works
Step 1
Post a Task
Choose the service, the ZIP where help is needed, and when it should happen, then describe the details. The exact address stays private until a MOM is authorized for that Task.
Step 2
Nearby MOMs offer
MOMs whose services and area fit can be notified and can offer on your Task. Not every area has a MOM available yet, so timing and coverage depend on who is nearby.
Step 3
Choose and pay on Momsity
Compare who offered, choose your MOM, and pay through Momsity checkout. You see the total before you pay.
Step 4
Coordinate in Task messages
Your MOM accepts and gets the details they need. Messages stay on the Task so the history and support stay together.
Step 5
Confirm when it is done
Your MOM marks the Task complete and you confirm. Payment is held until you confirm, or released automatically 72 hours after completion if you don't open a review.
Common questions
- Can a MOM come back after every storm?
- Ask in the Task. Many people work with the same MOM through a winter and post a Task each time it snows.
- Can I arrange snow shoveling for my parent's house?
- Yes. Post the Task with the ZIP code of your parent's home and add their contact details in the private field. You'll see updates and confirm when it's done.
- How does payment work?
- You see the total before you pay at Momsity checkout. Payment is held until you confirm the Task is done, or released automatically 72 hours after the MOM marks it complete if you don't open a review.
